Abstract

One instrument that can be used to measure the effectiveness of the learning process is educational evaluation. Evaluation is conducted to measure and assess learning outcomes systematically, continuously, and comprehensively. It serves to control, assure, and determine the quality, value, and significance of various learning components based on established considerations and criteria, while also representing a form of teacher accountability in the implementation of instruction. As an integral subsystem of education, evaluation functions to monitor and assess the effectiveness of learning conducted over a semester or an academic year. It cannot be separated from the overall teaching and learning process because it determines whether the intended learning objectives have been achieved. Evaluation also identifies the factors that contribute to successful learning as well as those that hinder or prevent the achievement of learning objectives. Furthermore, it helps determine the specific areas in which the teaching and learning process has succeeded or failed.
