Abstract

Teachers are one of the important components in education. Professional teachers are teachers who have the required competencies in carrying out educational tasks. One of the competencies that must be possessed by teachers is the ability of teachers to master the learning process and optimize it, because optimizing the learning process is a very important component in learning and is an important part of determining the success of students. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimization of the learning process carried out by class VII Fiqh teachers at MTs Swasta Tarbiyah Waladiyah Pulau Banyak Tanjung Pura, to determine teacher professionalism in optimizing the Fiqh learning process for class VII at MTs Swasta Tarbiyah Waladiyah Pulau Banyak Tanjung Pura, to find out inhibiting and supporting factors in optimizing the Fiqh learning process for class VII at MTs Swasta Tarbiyah Waladiyah Pulau Banyak Tanjung Pura. This type of research is a qualitative research using qualitative descriptive. The informants in this study were one Fiqh teacher, two students and the head of the madrasa at MTs Swasta Tarbiyah Waladiyah Pulau Banyak. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using analysis according to Milles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research on optimizing the learning process by the Fiqh teacher of class VII MTs Swasta Tarbiyah Waladiyah Pulau Banyak where the teacher motivates students, uses varied strategies, and uses learning methods that are appropriate to the situation and conditions of students. As for the professionalism of the teacher in optimizing the learning process, the more professional the teacher is, the easier it will be for him to optimize the learning process. Professional teachers will master the material based on the established syllabus, develop their creativity by sharing experiences between teachers, develop and utilize mass media and print media. develop themselves through educational seminars, workshops, and self-study. Inhibiting and supporting factors in optimizing the learning process, internal factors from students and families, the second factor is external factors from the environment, peers and society.
