Abstract

Based on the results of observations at the research location, the authors found one of the problems that hindered the improvement of students' psychomotor abilities, namely that the cooperative-based learning model had not been implemented maximally involving student activity. In addition to learning at MTs. Private Yaspen Muslim Pematang Tengah is not yet student-centered, in other words, learning activities are still teacher-centered as the subject of learning. Thus it becomes a benchmark for writers to conduct research using the Classroom Action Method in order to improve students' psychomotor competence through the Multi Representation Discourse model. This study used the results of observations, interviews, documentation and used test techniques for 3 (three) cycles. After carrying out these series of actions, the researcher can draw the conclusion that efforts to improve students' understanding skills through the Multi Representation Discourse Learning model in the field of Jurisprudence for Class IX MTs students. Private Yaspen Muslim has been implemented well and there has been an increase since the beginning of the pre-cycle, namely the number of students who received an average score of 56.55 students who received a complete score in the field of Jurisprudence, in Cycle I it increased to 63 students who completed learning activities Jurisprudence on material understanding. In Cycle II the level of student completeness in learning Jurisprudence was 78.4 in Class IX MTs. Private Yaspen Muslim. Then analyzed from Cycle III the student completeness reached 89.8. So it can be concluded that efforts to improve students' psychomotor competence can be done through the Multi Representation Discourse model.
