Abstract

This thesis discusses the strategic management and service quality of the regional library, a case study of the regional library stabat of Langkat Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach, as an effort to provide answers to the problems that have been described, because it uses a descriptive analysis approach using data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study can be concluded that based on the results of research on Strategic Management Analysis and Library Service Quality Case Studies Regional Libraries Stabat Kab. Langkat, the research can draw the following conclusions: The management that is structured refers to the vision, mission and goals of the library. Because achieving this quality is inseparable from the vision, mission and goals of the library, they are the main reference in building a library so that it can be achieved properly. The vision of the madrasah principal will determine which way the library institution is taken, because if the madrasah head does not have far-sighted vision, he will only carry out his duties as a daily routine, without knowing what progress he must achieve within a certain time. Obstacles in improving the quality of service in this case specifically the researchers formulated that there were 2 obstacles that existed in the Langkat district library, namely in terms of human resources and program financing budgets. The solution to the problem of quality improvement is to collaborate with government agencies. Continuous improvement. This is done by the head of the library to help reduce costs used for funding in running the program costs used for funding in running library programs that support library quality, carry out educational activities to increase staff professionalism such as comparative studies, workshops. This is done by the head of the library with the aim of establishing good cooperation in accepting new students and improving the quality of staff through training.
